About Dr. Kaplan
I am a licensed clinical psychologist who works with older adolescents and adults, and I have experience providing individual, family, and group therapy. My specialties are in eating disorders, body image concerns, self-esteem, and women’s mental health. Over the course of my training and experiences, I have also developed a particular interest in working with college and graduate students, as well as young professionals on adjustment issues and work/life balance.
Since becoming a SMBC, I have developed an interest in helping individuals and couples going through fertility treatments. I completed the Fertility Counseling Postgraduate Course, a 10-month intensive training in 2023-2024, and am happy to introduce this experience to the therapeutic space through therapy and/or consultations for recipients of sperm, egg, or embryo donations.
In addition to my practice, I have served as an adjunct professor at Towson University for undergraduate and graduate students. I am happy to bring my passion, energy, and NJ sense of humor to my work!

As a graduate student under the supervision of Dr. Kaplan, I specialize in working with adults. My experience encompasses treating eating disorders, body image concerns, anxiety, and depression. In addition to these populations, first responders face a variety of unique challenges as they serve their communities, and I am happy to help them navigate these challenges. Through collaborative problem-solving, self-reflection, and psychoeducation, I strive to empower my clients to build confidence in themselves and their abilities. My goal is to create a warm and welcoming environment, integrating various therapeutic models such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and psychodynamic approaches into my practice.
I am conducting my sessions exclusively through teletherapy. I look forward to our work together! Contact me directly at 443-830-3502 or slinsky@jkpsych.com.
